      HARRY PLOHR

      Harry M. Plohr, 85. of Howell died on Oct. 23 at Medilodge in Howell. Mr. Plohr was born on April 1, 1911, the son of Harry and Leanor (Makelim) Plohr in Chicago. He married Thyra Elizabeth Thureson on Sept. 12. 1936, in Chicago and she preceded him In death on Jan. 27, 1994.

      Mr. Plohr served In the South Pacific during World War II In the U.S. Navy. He came to the community in 1941, then moved to Alabama for several years and returned to Howell In 1994. He had been a machinist at Brighton N-C Machine Company. Surviving Is one son, Thomas Plohr of Howell; and two grandsons, Mark and Neil. Services were held on Oct. 26 at Lamb Funeral Home, Rev. Alan W. DeGraw of Oak Grove United Methodist Church officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donorís choice.
